Service Description: As a Business Analyst, the service is responsible for the maintenance and development of several applications used in one of the areas covered by the CMS division: National Control Center, Market Development, Customer Relations, Grid Development, Settlement, Metering, Data & Reporting. The service acts as an interface between the business (CMS) and the IT project manager. Responsibilities include: Collaborating on the modeling of business processes, IT tools supporting these processes, and guidelines for using these tools. Writing specifications for applications, validating them with the business, and prioritizing these changes in various application releases. Validating IT’s functional analysis. Testing and validating these changes in collaboration with the business after IT development. Maintaining contact with the business, IT, and other Business Analysts. Managing master data and governance of business processes. Supporting the business in using the tools. Preparing training materials and organizing user training sessions. Maintaining these applications. The Business Analyst will work on projects in the following areas: Market Development, Energy Auction, and Bidding. Market Capacity Remuneration Mechanism. Service Requirements: A master’s degree in Electrotechnical Engineering or equivalent experience. 2 to 5 years of experience in business analysis and writing system requirements based on business specifications. Affinity with IT systems and technologies (frontend/backend, B2B messages, web services, XML). Knowledge of the electricity sector or experience in the energy sector is a plus. Experience in writing and executing test plans. Very good knowledge of English, and fluent in French or Dutch (with a good understanding of the other language). Proven strong analytical skills and sufficient critical thinking ability. High capacity for problem-solving while working autonomously, rigorously, and in a structured way. Assertive and effective communication with multiple stakeholders. Excellent planning and organizational skills. Strong customer focus and flexibility.
