For an international market leader in consumer goods
managing globally recognized brands, we are looking for a Global
Consumer Science Specialist. - key responsibilities As a Global
Consumer Science Specialist, you will play a crucial role in
developing and executing global consumer research to support
product innovations and renovations across six geographic regions
(North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, and
Asia-Pacific). You will work closely with various internal teams
and external partners to determine, implement, and translate
qualitative and quantitative research methods into clear insights
and technical briefs. In addition, you will analyze the competition
in key markets and support strategies for product development and
flavor segmentation. Knowledge sharing and coaching regional teams
are also part of your responsibilities to accelerate innovation
worldwide. - Design and execute research plans, both qualitative
and quantitative, including product testing, claim testing, MVP
testing, prototype tastings, and concept refinement. - Translate
results into insights and clear recommendations. - Coordinate
external research agencies and internal data teams for analysis and
reporting. - Lead competitive analysis programs in the top 12
markets. Monitor the competitive strength of our products and
portfolio relative to competitors. Validate category expansion and
flavor segmentation strategies per market, and identify new
opportunities. - Consolidate and share insights to leverage
synergies and increase speed. - Guide and train interns, S&CS
managers, and teams within various regions on S&CS toolkits and
data collection programs. - Build and maintain a network within
disciplines such as Sensory Science, Physiology, Nutrition,
Psychology, Behavior, Semiotics, Applied Data Science, Experimental
Design, and Consumer Sciences as needed. - qualifications -
Master’s or PhD degree in Consumer Behavior, Psychology, Food
Science, Physiology, Nutrition, Applied Statistics, or Data
Science. - At least 3 to 5 years of experience in Sensory &
Consumer Sciences or Consumer Research. - Fluent in English
(written and spoken); additional languages are a plus. - Proficient
in data collection and data analysis software such as EyeQuestion,
Fizz, or Compusense; Xlstat is an advantage. - Customer-oriented
with a strong sense of ownership. - Excellent organizational and
planning skills with a pragmatic mindset. - Strong interpersonal,
leadership, and communication skills. - Proven experience as a
project leader with a track record of successful delivery. - Able
to streamline communication, translate results into a clear
narrative, and keep things simple; capable of formulating options
and recommendations with cost, time, and quality in mind. -
Flexible and collaborative working style. - Able to function in an
environment where priorities, project scope, and deadlines often
