About the Assignment
We are looking for an experienced Freelance Senior Microsoft Systems Architect to support a large-scale infrastructure and digital transformation program within an industrial environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, modernizing, and securing enterprise IT platforms while ensuring seamless integration with business-critical operational systems. This assignment requires a strong combination of strategic architecture expertise, hands-on technical knowledge, and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Architecture & Cloud Strategy
* Design and maintain enterprise infrastructure architectures based on Microsoft technologies.
* Define infrastructure standards, governance frameworks, and best practices.
* Develop technology roadmaps aligned with business and operational objectives.
* Lead infrastructure modernization and cloud transformation initiatives.
Systems & Platform Integration
* Support the integration of enterprise applications with operational environments.
* Design secure and reliable architectures connecting business and operational systems.
* Ensure high availability, resilience, and performance of critical applications and services.
* Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to align technology solutions with operational needs.
Microsoft Technology Leadership
* Architect and optimize Azure and hybrid cloud environments.
* Design identity and access management solutions using modern security principles.
* Implement and enhance Microsoft security and endpoint management solutions.
* Lead Microsoft 365 architecture and collaboration platform initiatives.
Security & Compliance
* Ensure infrastructure solutions align with cybersecurity and compliance requirements.
* Implement secure network segmentation and access control strategies.
* Support vulnerability management, patching, monitoring, and risk mitigation initiatives.
* Contribute to business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
Stakeholder Collaboration
* Act as a trusted advisor to business and technical stakeholders.
* Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
* Provide architectural guidance throughout project lifecycles.
* Support and mentor technical teams where required.
Required Experience
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent through relevant experience.
* Minimum 8 years of experience in infrastructure engineering and systems architecture.
* Proven experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and hybrid cloud environments.
* Strong expertise in Active Directory, Entra ID, Intune, Defender, and related Microsoft technologies.
* Experience designing high-availability and disaster recovery solutions.
* Familiarity with enterprise application environments and system integrations.
* Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

* Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
* Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert
