We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Sales – Business Development Manager to lead the growth and expansion of our GIS solutions in the Defence & Emergency Response sector in Belgium and Luxembourg.
As a key figure within our team, you drive business development, build strong client relationships, and position our GIS solutions as the benchmark for organisations in the Defence & Emergency Response sector that want to harness the power of spatial data.

What does your day look like?
* You build the GIS community for Defence & Emergency Response in Belgium and Luxembourg and are responsible for informing and inspiring through information sessions, workshops, and webinars.
* You are the point of contact for the Defence department and key emergency response organisations, and you focus on market development.
* You coordinate the entire process from A to Z and serve as the central point of contact for all stakeholders.
* You work in close collaboration with procurement and are responsible for the follow-up of quotations and licences.
* You take on contract management and ensure smooth follow-up of tenders and the management of framework agreements.
* You are or become a thought leader in Belgium and Luxembourg with the vision and expertise to guide clients on trends and insights in their sector.
* You stay up to date on sector developments and know how to inspire clients on how Esri technology can solve their challenges and improve their operations.
* You build a long-term relationship with decision-makers and guide them throughout the entire process.
* You maintain contact with various market players and act as a central GIS expert, spreading information and inspiration so clients understand how GIS can help them.
* You guide and support the delivery of projects.
* You develop a dynamic network of influencers and actively maintain it.
* You identify client needs and translate them into technological opportunities.
* You work closely with the international Esri team responsible for Defence & Emergency Response, collaborating with colleagues in other European countries and in the US.
What is your profile?
* Master’s degree
* Minimum 5 years of experience in sales or implementation of IT solutions
* You have a strong commercial sense and gain energy from helping clients improve their processes
* You describe yourself as a problem solver, analytical, team player, and hands-on
* You have strong communication skills
* You speak and write fluent Dutch, French, and English
* You have sufficient technical knowledge to translate sector needs into technological solutions
* Experience in the public sector is a significant asset
