You will lead a team responsible for maintenance, calibration, qualification, and repair of laboratory instrumentation. This role suits someone with a background in lab equipment services, metrology, or field/service engineering who has moved into team leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesLead a team of technicians/engineers covering maintenance, calibration, qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ), and repair of lab instrumentationOversee preventive maintenance (PM), troubleshooting, fault finding, and corrective actionsAct as escalation point for complex technical issues across analytical and lab equipmentManage vendors and third-party service providers for instrumentation and spare partsEnsure compliance with GMP, GLP, and quality standards in a regulated environmentCoordinate service schedules, upgrades, and installation/commissioning activitiesTrack KPIs, service performance, and reporting (SLA, uptime, compliance metrics)Coach and develop technical teams (service engineers, calibration technicians, metrology specialists)Key RequirementsExperience in managing technical or service teamsStrong background in maintenance either on-site of field serviceExposure to lab equipment such as HPLC, GC, LC-MS, spectrometers, balances, incubators, centrifuges or similarExperience managing vendors, service contracts, or external engineersStrong organisational and problem-solving skillsFluent English and Dutch requiredIf you’re looking to move into a role where you can lead a team while staying close to the technical side, apply now or reach out for a quick, informal chat.
