Context of the mission/Objective(s) of the job:
As a Business/Functional Analyst, you will be joining the dynamic and talented team of analysts and developer (International and Web) within Client's Business Area "Commercial Channels & Products." This team plays a crucial role in shaping the future of international rail travel by building sales channels and enhancing the overall customer experience. The Business Area "Commercial Channels & Products" is the IT partner of Client's Directorate for Marketing & Sales. This directorate manages all sales channels (front-end as well as back-end) and aftersales solutions of Client. These include Client's website, mobile app, cashdesk, ticket vending machines, sale on board, the B2B sale channels and the International sales channels (Web and App).
Responsibilities.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document their requirements, objectives, and processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize business needs and objectives.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and user stories for IT systems and applications.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure that the technical solutions align with business needs.
• Assist in the development of test plans, test cases, and user acceptance testing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve functional issues or defects, working closely with developers and support teams.
• Providing guidance and support to developers and project teams.
• You safeguard existing business and solution architecture and ask for advice to the enterprise, system and/or solution architects.
• You flag pro-actively bottlenecks and propose potential solutions/alternatives
• You present the designed end products (process analysis, functional test scenario's, documentation…) to the internal & external stakeholders.
Requirements.
Evaluation Criteria.
• Demonstrable experience with business analysis techniques, e.g. requirements gathering, process modelling and use case development.
• Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies, such as Agile or Waterfall.
• Demonstrable experience with writing User Stories (5+ years)
• Demonstrable working experience in SAFE/Agile context (5+ years)
Conformity Criteria
• A minimum of 5 years working experience as a business/functional analyst
• At least 2 years of experience in a public transport context.
• At least 2 years of experience in an e-commerce context.
• At least 2 years of experience with international rail travel (content distribution, PNR, direct sales, seat reservation,...).
• Demonstrable experience (5+ years) with business process modelling tools, such as BPMN or UML.
• Good knowledge of Sitecore as CMS, i.e. 2+ years of experience in writing functional analysis with Sitecore as content management system
• At least C1 level in English, written and spoken is required
• At least C1 level in Dutch or French, written and spoken is required
• The contractor needs to be able to work at least 2 days/week from the office (standard regime) and on demand up to 5 days a week (justified by project/program needs, exceptionally).
