About the role: We are looking for an experienced E&I / Automation Technician for a 3-month freelance assignment in West-Flanders, Belgium. You will work on high-complexity production lines, supporting hands-on PLC troubleshooting, breakdown management, and operational maintenance. The role focuses on ensuring uptime, reducing Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), and transferring practical knowledge to in-house technicians.
Responsibilities: Troubleshoot and resolve breakdowns across various PLC platforms (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Danfoss, others). Support the operational team in reducing MTTR and improving reliability. Share knowledge and train internal technicians to close the current skills gap.
Skills & Experience: Strong experience in PLC troubleshooting across multiple generations of automation/electrical systems. Proficient with Allen Bradley, Siemens, Danfoss, or similar PLC platforms. Logical problem-solving mindset for malfunctions and breakdowns. French or Dutch required; English alone is not sufficient. Willingness to work onsite across multiple sites.
