We are looking now for an experienced Lead Mechanical engineer for a 1 year project in Flanders (Belgium) for a strategic industrial project in the steel industry.
This role can be filled with a freelance position.
Profile:
* At least 10 years of Mechanical Engineering experience in Steelmaking plants
* Ability to operate as an expert leader in the steelmaking industry
* Strong background in CAPEX brownfield projects and maintenance
* Experience at OEM Supplier in steelmaking projects
* Languages : fluent in English / French can be a strong asset

Your responsibilities will include:
* Development of customers technical features for mechanical disciplines
* Follow up technical deliverables and mechanical equipment lists
* Monitoring suppliers’ engineering deliverables and progress
* Acting as an expert reference for steelmaking equipment with hierarchy and clients
* Supervising operations and maintenance teams, to foster safety and reliability
