To support the pilot line team during a temporary leave period, we are looking for a Battery Technician for a 9 ‑ month interim contract, with potential future opportunities depending on company needs. This role is highly practical and focused on pouch cell assembly & pilot ‑ scale equipment operation, and requires consistent quality & safety execution in a dry‑room environment & glovebox. What you'll do at ABEE Perform hands ‑ on cell assembly tasks for coin cells and pouch cells. Operate lab ‑ scale and pilot ‑ scale equipment such as: calendaring, ultrasonic welding, stacking, pouch cupping, and sealing. Follow standardized SOPs for each assembly or equipment operation. Execute routine process steps such as electrode preparation checks, separator handling, electrolyte filling, pouch closing, and labelling. Complete basic data logging, batch documentation, checklists, and equipment use records. Support quality control checks (visual inspection, dimensional checks, electrode alignment, weld quality, etc.). Report equipment issues or deviations to the team leader promptly. Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean, controlled environment for battery manufacturing. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (electromechanics, industrial sciences, materials, chemistry, etc.) (Junior profiles or motivated graduates are welcome.) Strong motivation for hands ‑ on work in a technical, controlled production environment. Ability to follow SOPs, checklists, and documentation procedures with precision. Good understanding of basic mechanical assembly principles. Strong awareness of quality and safety as core team values. Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
