Here's what you're going to do
The Power Electronics R&D Engineer belongs to the Power Electronics Area of the Engineering & Operations Department. He/she will participate in the human team in charge of the design, maintenance, improvement, and validation of the existing and future products, including hardware, software and system levels.
Find below the main duties and responsibilities of the position:
· Design, customization, and validation of power converters based on IGBT/MOSFET with powers between 7.5 and 160 kW.
· Microcontroller programming using C code.
· Design and tuning of control algorithms for power converters.
· Design and improvement of signal acquisition and processing systems, both analog and digital.
· Design of digital communications at hardware and software levels.
· Provide expert advice to other areas such as pre-sales, post-sales, product engineering, QA and production, according to the company needs.
What we expect from you
· Bachelor's or MSc degree in electrical/electronics engineering or relevant equivalent experience.
· More than 5 years of experience.
· Good command of simulation applications for power converters (Open Modelica, LTSpice, etc.)
· Structured and meticulous mindset.
· Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent interpersonal skills.
· Good level of spoken and written English.
· Competent use of standard office applications, such as the Windows operating system, Microsoft Office Suite, and common email platforms.
It will be a plus if you also have a good command of:
· Strong Power Electronics knowledge.
· Systems Architecture Foundations.
· Firmware programming for microcontrollers and embedded systems (C, C++).
· Ability to design PCBs using Altium.
· Project Management systems (Redmine).
