6. Master in Bioinformatics or Master in other life sciences discipline, Informatics, Applied Mathematics with computational biology experience or equivalent through training/experience
Senior Data Scientist
7. Support the Biocartis organization by performing data analysis needed for product development (assays, instruments, manufacturing line…), QC release and on market support
8. Support assay development teams by developing decision trees that will be integrated in assay specific software
9. Support assay development teams (internal and partner) with assay specific script development and writing
10. Support the assay development teams with respect to scientific software tools and data management.
Accountabilities
11. Develops tools and methods to facilitate analysis of the data generated during: Assay Development Cartridge production (including raw materials and semi-finished products) Instrument production Field usage
12. Develops the decision tree that will be integrated in the assay specific software
13. Writes assay specific software for our Idylla platform (LUA scripting, xml) in support of new assay development requirements of R&D and IVD. This includes definition of methods and data treatment algorithms and documentation.
14. Performs data mining tasks, statistical analyses and assist other project team members with these tasks
15. Keeps abreast of latest developments in bioinformatics tools to ensure state-of-the-art environment
16. Works as a member of a team, is responsible for organizing own time and resources in an optimal fashion. Prioritizes assigned projects and manages time accordingly. Is able to handle more than one project simultaneously
17. Provides planning input and estimations for their work to support the assay PM (project planning), functional lead and Bio IT manager (resource planning)
18. Works autonomously as a Bio IT lead for projects
19. Identifies improvement projects to make sure that the Bio-IT knowledge and capabilities stay in line with the Biocartis roadmap
20. Supports yearly R&D budget submission in line with general guidelines received, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary
21. Coaches Data Scientists from technical and process point of view
22. Applies industrialization and GxP expertise to build robust and reliable assays
23. Independent review of Bio IT related activities in technical and design review meetings
Profile requirements
24. Master in Bio-Informatics or Master in other life sciences disipline, Informatics, Applied Mathematics with experience in computational biology or equivalent through training/experience.
