Job Title: Operational/System Engineer

Job Description:
We are seeking an Operational/System Engineer with expertise in Azure Kubernetes (AKS), Azure Storage, Azure Event hub, and Istio Service Mesh for a one-year mission.
You will be integrated in a team of architect and system engineer to configure integration setup and to support our operational team as 2nd line support.
Responsibilities:
Helping development team to manage their request for integration setup on Azure service mesh and on Middleware Standardized File Transfer and Event Hub Messaging solutions.
Asses team incoming requests and prepare configuration to be performed by our operational engineering team. Launch request toward other teams like firewall or other and follow up of these.
Gradually integrate our operational team to handover the setup to them.
Continue to improve and automate our deployment processes.
Improve scripting, automation process and tooling to provide good tool to our operational team.
Support different development teams in their migration to Azure Cloud, assisting with their integration into the service mesh. Troubleshoot set that are not working as expected, identify issues, trigger needed changes, make follow up of progress.
Support middleware operational team for standard middleware setup on Azure, act as 2nd line support.
Debug issues, use our existing tools and monitoring/logging solutions to identify problems.
Report them to architect or engineering team. Update our scripts to solve bugs or improve situation.
Work with the operational team to train them, explain the platform and assist them with debugging and troubleshooting.
Skills and Experience:
Minimum 5 years or experience as system or operational engineering.
Good background on operational and support tasks.
Good experience with Azure Cloud platform, more specifically on AKS, Azure Storage, Azure Event Hub and Event Grid, Azure Monitoring and Azure security.
Knowledge of Istio service mesh, including its deployment, configuration, and management.
Experience of Istio setup in large companies IT department
Good experience in scripting languages like Power Shell, Bicep, Bash and other Unix Shell
Good experience in GitHub repository, GitHub Workflows and actions. Release and deployment procedure
Experience using Argo CD.
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
Strong understanding of Azure Identity management and access control t
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in Kubernetes (CKA, CKAD) or Azure (AZ-104, AZ-303).
Certification on Azure Security (AZ-1002, AZ-1003)
Experience with other service mesh technologies such as Linkerd or Consul (optional)
Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk
Experience with cloud-native security practices and tools.
