Job Description
The ADME lab analyst is a critical role in our R&D activities, and we are looking to recruit an individual with experience in basic laboratory techniques to initially support routine activities and eventually progress towards a more scientific role, contributing to experiment planning and execution to the highest standards, as well as data handling, interpretation and communication. The successful candidate will develop expertise in DMPK, working closely with senior scientists in the ADME team and colleagues in quantitative pharmacology, chemistry, biology, pharmaceutical sciences and other parts of DMPK organization.
Scope:
1. Independently manage and execute routine lab activities to support several ongoing ADME studies.
2. Support and train technical staff to assure continuous and seamless execution of routine activities.
3. Planning and execution of non-routine (bespoke) experiments.
4. Actively contribute towards experiment design and independently process and interpret data.
5. Communicate results through PowerPoint presentations in regular team meetings.
6. Ensure good experimental practice with appropriate quality control determinations.
7. Maintain detailed electronic laboratory note-books of all experiments performed, as well as written records of laboratory or any other meetings
8. Actively contribute towards troubleshooting and process improvements.
9. Effectively collaborate with supporting teams and stakeholders within and outside the DMPK department.
Qualifications
10. Holds a master’s degree in Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Drug metabolism, Pharmacokinetics, Biological Sciences, Biotechnology or related disciplines.
11. Proficiency in basic laboratory techniques and ability to work independently.
12. Ability to work with cell cultures (primary and immortalized cell lines) 2D and 3D and aseptic technique.
13. Desirable but not essential: knowledge or hands on experience of in vitro ADME assays, complex in vitro models, experience with laboratory animals and PK principles.
14. Attention to detail.
15. Trouble-shooting skills for assays and instrumentation.
16. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
17. Ability to effectively manage non-routine as well as routine activities as required.
18. Ambitious attitude and being open to training and guidance with the objective of continuous development into a scientific role.
19. Full professional proficiency in English is a must.
