Job Description We are looking for candidates who will embrace our Cyber Security strategy in the design, implementation and operations of Cloud Security with a focus on Azure. As an Azure Security Engineer, you should be hands‑on in all aspects of Azure security including implementing security controls and threat protection, managing identity and access management, implementing security policies, and using Azure technologies.
In this role you will work closely with product owners and cloud architects to build a secure and robust enterprise‑grade cloud platform. Your responsibilities include implementing security services, managing the security posture, identifying and remediating vulnerabilities, performing threat modelling, implementing threat protection, and responding to security incident escalations.
Implement, maintain and improve the security posture of the Azure platform, identifying and remediating vulnerabilities with security tools.
Implement and configure security controls and policies, manage access to data, and monitor threats to protect data, apps, containers, infrastructure, and networks.
Configure access within a cloud environment using the defense‑in‑depth principle.
Configure network security, including in a hybrid context with traditional network‑centric controls.
Implement and use cloud‑native tools like Log Analytics, Azure Monitor, Azure Security Center, and Azure Sentinel.
Who Will You Work With? You will be part of the Cyber Trust team with more than 50 people in Belgium, collaborating with customers’ business and technical employees to capture, discuss, and verify cyber risks. You can work flexibly on‑site, at a client’s office, at Devoteam in Zaventem, or from home. You will report to your practice manager for development and career guidance.
Qualifications Technical Skills
Experience in Network Security, Cyber Defense, Vulnerability Management, Security Architecture, and Cloud Environment.
Broad understanding of all Microsoft Defender for Cloud solutions, including Microsoft Defender for Cloud DevOps.
Good understanding of security concepts (Zero Trust Network, CASB, Cloud computing, SIEM, PKI, DevSecOps, IAM, and PAM).
Experience with Azure security components; experience with AWS and Google Cloud is a plus.
Technical skills with Linux, Windows, and scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, .Net).
Knowledge of HTTP, HTTPS, SSL, and authentication technologies.
Domain expertise in one technical area, such as Java, C++, or Python.
Experience with Agile, Scrum, and DevSecOps.
Desired/Preferred Certifications
Masters in computer science/engineering or minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in IT and/or security, preferably with Azure environments.
Azure Security Engineer certifications (AZ‑500, SC‑100, SC‑200, SC‑300) and other industry certifications (CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CSSP, CCSK, GIAC, CEH).
