As a Head of Finance your responsibilities are:
* Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
* Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations and standards.
* Prepare and present accurate financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
* Lead and mentor the Accounting & Finance team to achieve departmental objectives.
* Collaborate with the actuarial team to support reserving, capital management, and Solvency II requirements.
* Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies.
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency.
* Monitor and mitigate financial risks associated with the insurance operations.
A successful Head of Finance should have:
* A degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
* Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent.
* Strong expertise in financial management, reporting, and compliance.
* About 10 years of post-qualification experience with at least the last 3 years in a Leadership Role in Luxembourg.
* Experience within the insurance industry in Luxembourg; ideally within a multinational / matrixed environment.
* Strong understanding of Luxembourg and European financial regulations.
* Proficiency in financial software and tools.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
* Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
