Overview
Join our Contract Logistics team in Geel and play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Warehouse Management System. At Kuehne+Nagel, our work truly contributes to more than we imagine. As a Superuser WMS, you will act as the functional expert for our Warehouse Management Systems. You will support daily operations, ensure system stability, guide users, and collaborate closely with IT, operations, and solution providers. Your work directly impacts productivity, visibility, and customer satisfaction. You will be the first point of contact for operational teams regarding system issues, new functionalities, and process improvements. In this role, you combine technical understanding with strong communication skills and a deep interest in how a WMS works and logistics processes.
How you create impact
* Ensure the correct functioning of WMS applications, including testing, installing, and managing new releases;
* Train, support, and guide operational and administrative users; resolve system‑related issues quickly;
* Define, configure, and monitor operational reports;
* Act as the first point of contact for all IS‑related escalations from warehouse operations and the other way around;
* Collaborate closely with Local IT, regional IS/IT teams, solution providers, and helpdesks;
* Analyze daily operational KPIs (order portfolio, productivity, order drop) and adjust WMS parameters accordingly;
* Translate customer requirements into system configurations and steer implementation with the solution provider;
* Support IS sub‑projects related to new functionalities, customer onboarding, or process improvements;
* Own the creation, validation, and implementation of change requests toward the IS solution provider;
* Maintain strong communication and alignment with Customer Service, Warehousing Operations, and the IS Solution Provider or other support departments.
Qualifications
* IT‑related studies or equivalent hands‑on experience in an IT‑driven environment;
* 1–2 years of experience managing or administering IT applications independently;
* Practical background in warehouse operations or transport planning, with solid understanding of logistics flows (Inbound, Put‑away, Replenishment, Picking, Packing, Shipping, stock accuracy, cycle counting);
* Experience working with reporting tools such as Business Objects or similar;
* Familiarity with EDI processes is considered an advantage;
* Strong organizational, administrative, and communication abilities;
* Analytical, logical, and highly structured approach to problem‑solving and follow‑up;
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross‑functional teams;
* Strong interpersonal skills and a customer‑quality mindset;
* Excellent MS Office skills and strong command of English and Dutch.
