Well known Global Consultancy based in Gent are looking for a Senior Cobol Developer.
Responsibilities
* Maintain, optimise, and modernise legacy COBOL applications in a complex enterprise IT environment
* Develop, test, and support both batch and online applications as part of an Agile delivery team
* Collaborate with functional analysts and end users to translate business requirements into technical solutions
* Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents in a timely and structured manner
* Produce clear technical documentation covering designs, changes, and incident resolutions
Job Requirements
* COBOL — Expert level
* VSAM — Advanced level
* CICS, JCL, DB2 — Intermediate level; mainframe environment experience essential
* IDZ — Nice to have
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work independently and solution-oriented
