Do you want to take part in the development of the car of tomorrow? The Purchasing team at Toyota Motor Europe can offer you this challenge. Located in the heart of Europe, Purchasing plays a key strategic role in the development of our future products. As a buyer you will develop and manage all aspects of the commercial relationship between Toyota and its suppliers, located all over Europe. This position will allow you to have an insight into the most recent technical innovations and will enable you to get a deep understanding of how a leading multinational operates and interacts with numerous internal and external parties.
Your responsibilities
1. purchase vehicle parts or raw materials for current and future models/vehiclesnegotiate with our suppliers to achieve the best cost reductionsmanage all commercial issues related to your portfolio of responsibilitymake appropriate supplier selection recommendations to senior managementdevelop comprehensive understanding of technological and market trends within the automotive industrywork closely with Global Toyota Purchasing, develop commodity strategies at regional level and have direct input towards global strategies
Your Profile
2. you are fluent in English (TME’s business language)
3. you have up to 5 years of relevant professional experience
4. have a university degree or higher education in business, purchasing or engineering
5. have business understanding and affinity with automotive products
6. are results driven and able to break down complex issues into manageable portions
7. have good communication, negotiation and presentation skills
8. have highly developed analytical skills, accuracy and reliability
9. can work independently in multi-disciplinary teams
10. are computer literate (MS Excel, PowerPoint)
11. are willing to travel up to 20%
