As R&D Manager Software you will lead a dynamic development team of talented software engineers, which is executing software design for cutting-edge solutions for our innovative Defense & Security and Air Traffic Control products. Your responsibilities You are responsible for devising and implementing R&D Software policy, for the short and long term, in line with the company objectives. You can prioritize. You keep a close eye on the objective, planning and ensuring timely delivery for the software team contributions to NPI projects. You analyze new technology trends, from which you detect and initiate new product developments and product improvements. You question – with your critical eye - the R&D processes and make the necessary optimizations (product, development, process). You focus on the development of the R&D team. You lead and inspire the team and act as a sound board or coach where necessary. You work closely together with hardware and mechanics R&D team. You report to the R&D director. Your profile You have a master’s degree in electronics engineering. You have a proven track record in R&D Software. You have a strong technical background in software development (Linux, C++) and knowledge of Buildroot and/or Yocto. You are eager to learn and interested in working on high-tech products. You have strong leadership skills and excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels. You can prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. You have change perspective and go for innovation.
