As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will take ownership of one or more production zones, ensuring seamless operations and efficient output. Your mission is to support production teams by improving processes, addressing technical challenges, and maintaining a clean, ergonomic, and well-organized workspace (in line with 5S principles).
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as the go-to person for your assigned production zones, ensuring efficiency and output quality.
* Solve day-to-day assembly or production issues and drive long-term improvements.
* Assess the impact of design changes on production and implement necessary process adaptations.
* Monitor production schedules (Gantt charts) and ensure takt time targets are achievable.
* Identify needs for new tooling, machinery, or jigs, and oversee their implementation.
* Maintain an overview of production tools and ensure correct usage and documentation.
* Identify and evaluate the need for order-specific work instructions, support their rollout, and review their effectiveness.
* Analyze production bottlenecks and implement both immediate and structural solutions.
* Liaise regularly with external stakeholders to ensure production methods are aligned and optimized.
Ideal Candidate:
* Holds a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a technical field (or equivalent through experience).
* Has a background in a production or manufacturing environment.
* Possesses a critical eye for process improvement and a willingness to take initiative.
* Communicates effectively with both shop floor teams and cross-functional departments.
* Speaks Dutch fluently (essential for this role).
* Experience with Lean Six Sigma is a strong advantage (Yellow or Green Belt preferred).
