We are looking for a Senior Managing Consultant to support the Strategy function in translating strategic objectives into actionable portfolios, roadmaps, and governance structures.
You will play a key role in:
* Structuring and operationalising the STO, TMO, PfMO and PgMO
* Implementing new operating models
* Improving reporting, OKR alignment, and value/risk/capacity management
* Supporting executive decision-making through high-quality, decision-ready insights
This role requires a strong mix of strategic vision and hands-on delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Alignment & Roadmap Development
* Consolidate needs, risks, and priorities with strategy teams, domain leads, and enterprise architecture
* Design strategic portfolio roadmaps aligned with capacity, budget, and regulatory constraints
* Define prioritisation and evaluation criteria (value, risk, sustainability, compliance)
* Ensure coherence between strategy, portfolio, architecture, and operations
Governance Design & Decision Support
* Design and operationalise governance frameworks for PfMO, PgMO, and TMO
* Develop processes, RACIs, templates, and stage gates
* Support portfolio and executive-level decision-making bodies
* Prepare decision-ready analyses for management and executive committees
* Embed data quality and reporting standards
Risk, Compliance & Regulatory Integration
* Establish strategic RAID and dependency management at portfolio and program levels
* Ensure alignment with legal, risk, and regulatory functions
* Integrate financial planning and investment processes with Finance
* Align with IT governance and PMLC methodologies
Monitoring, Deep Dives & Value Realisation
* Monitor initiatives for OKR alignment, benefits realisation, risks, and delivery progress
* Conduct deep dives on selected programmes and projects (risk, value, dependencies, strategic fit)
* Build strategic scenarios based on budget, capacity, risk, and alignment
* Contribute to executive and regulatory dashboards and reports
Operating Models & Organisational Alignment
* Design AS-IS to TO-BE operating models for strategic steering
* Set up and operationalise STO, TMO, PfMO, and PgMO structures
* Implement governance in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
* Coordinate with change management to factor in organisational impact and adoption risks (without owning operational change)
Tools, Data & Dashboards
* Define a minimum dataset for portfolio steering (OKRs, value, risk, sustainability, capacity, progress)
* Build Power BI dashboards and data models for executive and portfolio boards
* Use Planview or similar PPM tools for planning, scenario analysis, and reporting
* Establish data governance and integration flows across Strategy, Finance, HR, IT, and business domains
Profile Requirements
Education
* Master’s degree in engineering, economics, business administration, computer science, management sciences, or equivalent experience
Experience
* Minimum 10 years’ experience in strategic transformation, corporate portfolio management, or strategy execution
* At least 5 years’ experience in programme management, governance, or project delivery
* Proven experience setting up TMO, PfMO, or PgMO structures
* Strong background in value and benefits management, strategic risk management, capacity modelling, and financial scenario analysis
* Experience working alongside change management on organisational impact and stakeholder readiness
* Experience in the energy / DSO sector (Smart Grid, Smart Metering, regulatory context) is a strong asset
Technical Skills
* Experience with Planview or similar PPM tools
* Advanced Power BI skills (dashboards, data models, OKR/KPI structures)
* Knowledge of MoP, MSP, PMI PfMP and/or SAFe Lean Portfolio Management is an asset
Languages
* Fluent in French or Dutch with strong command of the second national language
* Professional proficiency in English
