Summary of Position and Objectives
This new role of Group Industrial Controlling Director aims to build on existing productivity tools to establish and implement operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across the Group. The role involves aligning operational metrics with financial data, accelerating the development of granular P&Ls, and deploying productivity and price-volume metrics. Over time, the Director will lead a team to monitor these KPIs and ensure proper standards and audits.
Key Responsibilities
* Deploy systematic benchmarking of laboratories.
* Ensure initiatives are reflected in budgets and adhere to guidelines.
* Support CAPEX optimization for instruments and real estate, establishing utilization metrics and justifying CAPEX requests.
* Monitor and ensure achievement of business plans from acquisitions.
* Generate standard KPIs for off-site operations.
* Implement the Cost Calculation model (APCC) across Business Units for detailed cost analysis.
* Bridge financial tools and operational metrics, utilizing systems like PowerBI for reporting and reconciliation.
Qualifications
* Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or Chemistry; MBA preferred.
* Proven leadership in change management, team development, and achieving targets sustainably.
* 7-15 years of experience in operational finance roles with increasing responsibilities.
* Experience managing large, geographically dispersed teams.
* Strong knowledge of finance policies, processes, and systems.
* Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Track record of building business relationships and leading strategic initiatives.
