About the role
SAP Commerce Cloud Developer (Backend)
We are looking for a developer with strong technical expertise to design and deliver robust, scalable digital commerce solutions.
You will be responsible for developing functionalities in the business logic layer (back-end) within the SAP Commerce (Hybris) platform, working on complex international projects.
Responsibilities
* Design, develop, test, and deploy solutions in SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris).
* Implement new features and perform enhancements or maintenance of existing applications.
* Ensure high-quality deliverables aligned with technical standards and timelines.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (architecture, QA, business, and project management).
* Participate in requirements analysis and technical solution design.
* Develop reusable, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
* Mentor and support less experienced developers.
* Identify technical risks and propose continuous improvements.
* Work within agile methodologies (Scrum or similar).
* Collaborate with technical leaders and architects on key development decisions.
Requirements
* +5 years of experience in software development.
* Strong experience in Java and Spring Framework.
* Proven experience with SAP Commerce Cloud / SAP Hybris.
* Solid understanding of web application architecture (MVC, layered architecture, OOP).
* Experience integrating systems and APIs.
* Knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server) and preferably NoSQL.
* Experience with version control and CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, SonarQube).
* Experience in B2C/B2B e-commerce platforms.
* Advanced English or Spanish (for international collaboration).
* Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Nice to have
* SAP Commerce Cloud certification.
* Experience working on international or multicultural projects.
* Knowledge of other e-commerce platforms (SFCC, Magento, etc.).
* Experience with PIM, omnichannel, or retail environments.
* Proactive mindset for driving technical and process improvements.
