Koch Engineered Solutions is seeking a Process Engineer for our Systems process team. The process engineer is responsible for the detailed process design of our systems solutions such as flare systems and supports the commercial, order execution and aftermarket service teams for our systems product lines. We serve the international refining petrochemical, midstream, downstream and pharmaceutical markets. Our Team The Systems Process engineering team covers flare systems, thermal oxidisers, flare gas recovery and vapour products and is part of the integrated business team for Koch Engineered Solutions combustion business.The process engineer will work together with the local team but also have constant knowledge exchange with our global process team to find best solutions for our clients. What You Will Do • Provide detailed process design of flare systems.• Support all our systems products with the detailed process design.• Support the commercial, execution and customer aftermarket service teams.• Process design will include all components of a flare system.• Oversee the process technology of our flare products and other system product solutions to support our clients over the complete lifetime of our installed equipment.• Prepare process documents, such as flare product selection and sizing, radiation plots, dispersion and noise calculation etc. where required, equipment datasheets, P&IDs, utilities consumption and control narrative for the project.• Review of General Arrangement and other drawings.• Participate in the project technical risk assessment and hazop studies, as well as system commissioning, troubleshooting and operators training at the customer site.• Available to travel 25%.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)• Chemical/Mechanical or relevant Engineering education background.• Excellent communication skills.• Strong adherence to compliance. What Will Put You Ahead • Process design experience with flare systems.• Process design experience with Vapour combustion equipment.• Process design experience with thermal oxidation systems.• Process design experience with flare gas recovery systems.• Experience working with combustion equipment.• Process design experience with burners for process heaters or industrial boiler packages.• Experience with working directly with international customers and suppliers.• Experience in product design specific to customer projects or equivalent work experience.• Experience using software such as Autocad and Flare related software.
