Make your mark for patients
We are looking for a HTA & Payers Digital Transformation Lead to join our HTA & Payers team, driving digital and AI‑enabled transformation across market access, payer evidence, and health technology assessment.
About the Role
You will shape and deliver the digital innovation agenda for one of UCB’s most critical strategic functions. You will lead the HTA & Payers Digital and Generative AI Council, define and execute a forward‑looking digital roadmap, and embed data‑driven and AI‑enabled ways of working that improve evidence generation, operational efficiency, and strategic insight.
This role acts as a catalyst for change in a highly regulated, complex environment—championing innovation while ensuring quality, compliance, and business relevance. You will work closely with senior HTA & Payers leaders and partner across UCB to ensure alignment with enterprise digital initiatives and to position HTA & Payers as a leader in digital excellence within access and reimbursement.
Who You’ll Work With
You will be part of the extended HTA & Payers Leadership Team. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across RWE, Health Economics, Pricing, Evidence Synthesis, Medical, Clinical Development, Data & Digital, IT, and external technology and data partners. You will also represent HTA & Payers in enterprise‑wide digital initiatives and industry forums.
What You’ll Do
1. Define and deliver the digital and AI innovation strategy for HTA & Payers, aligned with business priorities.
2. Lead governance and strategic direction of the HTA & Payers Digital and Gen AI Council.
3. Identify, evaluate, and scale emerging technologies that improve efficiency, productivity, and insight generation.
4. Act as a change agent, challenging existing processes and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
5. Drive integration of AI solutions across evidence generation, literature review, protocol development, and pricing simulations.
6. Increase automation and digitalisation of access, pricing, and health economics deliverables.
7. Modernise documentation and knowledge‑management processes to improve traceability, quality, and regulatory compliance.
8. Partner with RWE, Pricing, and Evidence teams to ensure seamless digital workflows across the evidence lifecycle.
9. Design and deliver training programs to build digital and AI fluency across HTA & Payers.
10. Establish governance frameworks to validate AI outputs and ensure compliance with IT, data privacy, and regulatory standards.
11. Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external vendors to accelerate innovation.
12. Ensure alignment and integration with enterprise digital initiatives and platforms across UCB.
Interested? For this role we’re looking for:
13. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
14. 7+ years’ experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector, with strong exposure to market access and evidence generation.
15. Proven experience leading digital or transformation initiatives in a global, regulated environment.
16. Strong understanding of AI, data, and digital solutions applied to healthcare, evidence, and market access.
17. Demonstrated change‑management and stakeholder‑influencing skills in complex matrix organisations.
18. Ability to translate digital innovation into clear business value and measurable impact.
19. Strong communication skills and comfort engaging with senior leaders and cross‑functional teams.
