We are looking for a Senior Accountant to take ownership of the accounting for a portfolio of Belgian entities active in B2B automotive trading.

We need someone who is technically strong, reliable, hands-on, and able to manage accounting end-to-end in a fast-moving business environment.
You will work closely with the CFO and play an important role in both the day-to-day accounting and the further professionalisation of our finance processes
What the role looks like
You will be responsible for the full accounting cycle of several Belgian entities, including:
* AP, AR and general ledger entries
* bank postings and reconciliations
* monthly closings
* VAT returns and related compliance
* stock and inventory reconciliations
* year-end support files and audit preparation
The environment is international and operational.
* This means the role goes beyond routine bookkeeping: you need to be comfortable with cross-border flows, Belgian VAT complexity, inventory accounting, deadlines, and follow-up.
Your responsibilities
* Own the accounting from A to Z for several Belgian entities under BE GAAP
* Process and review supplier invoices and overheads
* Post and control sales invoices and credit notes
* Process CODA bank statements and perform bank reconciliations
* Prepare monthly closings, including accruals, deferrals and balance sheet substantiation
* Prepare and file Belgian VAT returns, including intra-EU transactions, triangulation and exports
* Ensure accurate stock accounting and inventory reconciliations in a trading environment
* Prepare supporting schedules and year-end files for external auditors
* Help improve closing routines, controls and accounting structure
What we are looking for
* Solid experience as a Senior Accountant in Belgium
* Strong knowledge of Belgian GAAP
* Strong practical knowledge of Belgian VAT, including cross-border B2B flows
* Experience with inventory / stock accounting in a trading environment
* Able to work autonomously, in a structured way, with strong ownership
* Comfortable working with auditors and preparing year-end files
* Strong Excel skills
* Dutch and French at operational level are required
* English is a plus
