ERO Contractor – Operational Support

Location: Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid working)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organised and detail‐oriented External Research Opportunities (ERO) Contractor – Operational Support to join its Global Medical Affairs function. This role provides essential operational and administrative support for External Research Opportunities—including Investigator Initiated Studies (IIS) and Research Collaborations—ensuring compliant, efficient, and timely execution of processes across global stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Operational & Administrative Support

* Serve as the main administrative contact for internal/external stakeholders
* Manage intake, logging, and routing of IIS and research collaboration requests
* Track timelines, documentation, and workflow progression in ERO systems
* Maintain accurate records across trackers and databases

Process Management & Coordination

* Coordinate contracts, approvals, and stakeholder inputs with Legal, Compliance & Procurement
* Support payment processing, financial reconciliation, and study close‐out
* Produce dashboards, summaries, and audit‐ready reports
* Support process updates and system enhancements

Cross‐Functional Collaboration

* Work closely with ERO, Medical Affairs, Finance, Legal & Compliance teams
* Contribute to ad‐hoc operational tasks and administrative projects

Requirements

Education

* Bachelor's Degree

Hard Skills

* Administrative/operational/coordination experience (Pharma or Medical Affairs/R&D ideal)
* Familiarity with regulated systems, workflow tools, and document management
* Strong detail orientation and ability to manage multiple tasks
* Proficiency with Excel, trackers, and shared drive environments
* Understanding of research processes or IIS workflows (advantage)
* Experience supporting contracting or compliance processes
