The Role
The Regulatory & Sustainability Compliance Manager EMEA is the regional authority responsible for ensuring Victaulic products comply with applicable standards, directives, and certification requirements, supporting market access and growth across EMEA.
The role leads regional regulatory strategy, provides expert guidance on complex compliance matters, and manages the EMEA regulatory team, reporting to the VP & GM EMEA with functional support from GRC & Sustainability.
Responsibilities to include but not limited to:
1. Provide technical and regulatory leadership across the EMEA region, advising on product design, specifications, performance, and agency qualification requirements to ensure full compliance.
2. Serve as the lead technical problem solver for EMEAI agencies and local authorities, partnering with Sales and the global regulatory team to resolve complex certification issues and maintain product and facility approvals.
3. Act as a subject matter expert for Technology Managers, Engineers, and Product/Project Managers on technical requirements, test methods, applicable standards, and product marking.
4. Supervise and develop regulatory team members through performance appraisals, mentorship, and professional development.
5. Collaborate with the Director of GRC to develop and implement EMEA regulatory strategies, policies, procedures, and analytics that support compliance excellence and operational efficiency.
6. Review, interpret, and communicate technical specifications, industry standards, and EU Directives, translating regulatory requirements into practical guidance.
7. Drive continuous improvement of regulatory processes and systems, including databases, reporting tools, documentation, and external publications.
8. Develop and maintain regulatory templates supporting local and regional regulations, including Declarations of Conformity and compliance statements.
9. Represent Victaulic on standards committees and technical working groups, contributing to global and regional codes and standards.
10. Ensure compliance with document management policies (EOG-26) related to data security, confidentiality, and record retention.
11. Lead special projects as assigned to advance regulatory objectives and strategic initiatives
12. Support alignment with sustainability initiatives.
About You
13. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred)
14. 10-15 years of progressive technical experience in product certification, regulatory compliance, and approval processes within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
15. Demonstrated experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity with proven ability to direct and develop teams
16. Comprehensive knowledge of EMEA regulatory frameworks, including EU Directives, CE marking requirements, and regional compliance standards
17. Strong ability to review, interpret, and apply technical drawings, engineering specifications, and regulatory documentation
18. Outstanding organizational and priority-setting abilities with a track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously
19. Strong interpersonal skills and professional presence suitable for representing Victaulic with external agencies, certification bodies, and industry organizations
20. Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (up to 25-30%)
21. Proficiency in English required; additional European languages advantageous
22. Professional certifications in regulatory compliance, quality management, or related fields preferred
