Context
Our client in Brussels is driving a major digital transformation and global cloud security standardisation. We seek a confirmed senior AWS DevSecOps / Cloud Security Engineer to implement NIS2-compliant security controls across AWS environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Implement AWS-native security controls defined by the Cloud Security Architect.
* Ensure NIS2 compliance: IAM, backups, vulnerability management, documentation.
* Collaborate with cloud, security, identity, patching, backup, and vulnerability teams across international entities.
* Design secure, cost-optimised AWS solutions.
* Build new AWS DevSecOps capabilities using native AWS components.
Mandatory requirements:
* Senior-level AWS Security expertise (hands-on, production environments).
* Experience with AWS modular architecture and design patterns.
* GuardDuty, Security Hub, AWS Backup, KMS & secrets, IAM / Privileged Access Management, AWS patching, vulnerability remediation.
* Knowledge of NIS2 requirements.
* Ability to secure AWS against DDoS, ransomware, and cloud threats.
* AWS cost optimisation capability.
* Full autonomy, immediate operational capability (no training).
Soft Skills & Languages
* Autonomous, solution-oriented, proactive.
* Strong communication in English (mandatory)
* Comfortable in large, multicultural environments.
