Head of global supply chain governance

Make your mark for patients

We are looking for a Head of Global Supply Chain Governance & Engagement who is strategic, collaborative, and solution-oriented to join our Global Supply Chain team, based at our UCB campus in Braine-l'Alleud, Walloon Brabant, Belgium.

About the role:

You will provide leadership for establishing Global Supply Chain strategies, governance, and tactical planning, while fostering a culture of excellence aligned with UCB's values and Patient Value Strategy principles.

This role is a cornerstone of Global Supply Chain leadership, accountable for driving governance maturity, engagement, portfolio prioritization, and ways of working across all supply chain functions. You will ensure alignment between strategy, execution, people, and performance while enabling effective decision-making at leadership level.

Who you will work with:

You will work in close partnership with the Head of Global Supply Chain, the Global Supply Chain Leadership Team, and senior stakeholders across Patient Supply, Quality, Finance, HR, and Digital.
You will also engage regularly with external partners to strengthen governance, delivery discipline, and transformation outcomes.

What you will do:

Governance, strategy, and leadership

* Lead and develop the Global Supply Chain Governance & Engagement team, setting clear direction, priorities, and accountability.
* Establish and sustain end-to-end governance frameworks, ensuring alignment between Global Supply Chain strategy, execution, and enterprise priorities.
* Facilitate Global Supply Chain Leadership Team governance and ways of working, including leadership forums, meeting cadence, town halls, and community engagement.

Portfolio, PMO, and transformation

* Hold direct accountability for the Global Supply Chain PMO, including portfolio prioritization, resource allocation, and delivery governance.
* Ensure global programs, projects, and initiatives are managed using best-in-class PMO, project, and change management practices.
* Orchestrate and oversee large-scale transformation and change initiatives, ensuring disciplined execution and measurable impact.

Operational excellence, learning, and capability building

* Establish and drive an operational excellence culture, including governance, standards, processes, and toolkits across Global Supply Chain.
* Define and implement a learning and capability-building strategy to strengthen competencies across supply chain domains, including data, technology, and leadership.
* Identify productivity improvements and organizational design opportunities as the business and operating context evolves.

Risk, compliance, sustainability, and security

* Define and orchestrate risk and compliance governance across Global Supply Chain, including regulatory, quality, documentation, and proactive risk-based decision-making.
* Ensure alignment and reporting into Patient Supply governance.
* Lead or enable programs supporting sustainability and security, including associated governance and processes.

Engagement and culture

* Lead communities of change ambassadors to drive engagement, adoption, and cultural evolution.
* Foster a collaborative, high-performing leadership culture focused on impact, learning, and continuous improvement.

Business management

* Facilitate HR and Finance annual processes, including budget management, headcount tracking, workforce planning, and reporting.

For this role, we are looking for the following edication, expertise and skills:

* Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in a relevant field.
* Certifications such as APICS CPIM, PMI or Prince2, or Six Sigma Green Belt or above are strong assets.
* Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes and strategic business objectives.
* In-depth expertise in at least one supply chain domain, including data and technology-enabled processes.
* Proven experience leading large programs and transformations using structured project and change management approaches.
* Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into governance, capability, and execution models.
* Strong stakeholder management and influential leadership across senior and executive levels.
* Excellent communication, facilitation, and executive-level presentation skills.
* Fluent in English; French is a plus.
