Chief Operating Officer
Umamido Group is a fast‐growing hospitality company that brings Japanese comfort food to cities across Europe. They operate two distinct brands: Umamido, their flagship ramen concept, and Roru, which offers ultra‐fresh sushi rolls and rice bowls. All of their shops are supported by a central production unit, which ensures consistent quality.
To guide the company's evolution and growth and lead their international expansion, starting with France, we are looking for a Chief Operating Officer .
Responsibilities
Operational leadership: oversee daily operations of all 20 shops, including the Umamido and Roru locations in Belgium and the 6 franchised locations in Switzerland, ensuring highest standards of food quality, customer experience, and operational excellence.
Strategic growth: design tools and processes to enable rapid expansion across Europe while maintaining quality and consistency.
Financial stewardship: manage P&L, budgets, costs and profitability, translating goals into operational execution.
Management: coach district and training managers, fostering a performance‐driven culture.
Collaborative partnerships: work closely with Finance, HR, F&B, Marketing, and central production teams.
Franchise support: provide structure and guidance to franchise partners, ensuring brand standards and exceptional customer experience.
Qualifications
Minimum 15 years in hospitality or food sector, with multi‐unit leadership experience.
Strong financial skills with full P&L ownership.
Solution‐oriented mindset that inspires others.
Proactive, forward‐thinking leader who translates ideas into action.
Coaching‐based leadership style, developing local leaders.
Comfort with international complexity and hands‐on operations.
Bilingual in English and French; Dutch a plus.
