Unisys is seeking a Systems Administrator/Engineer to work on our customers' mainframe systems. This role offers full training and is an excellent opportunity for individuals with 1-2 years of experience in a similar systems role (Windows, Linux, Unix, Mainframe, etc.).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide ongoing Systems Administration support, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware, software, applications, and connectivity components.
2. Offer technical support and advice on the use of programming tools, database systems, and networks.
3. Address availability and reliability issues on various systems (Linux, Unix, Windows, Mainframe, etc.) at client site locations.
4. Perform operational responsibilities, including remediation of daily incident tickets, system compliance, system run enhancement, testing, staging, policy/procedure enhancement, client contact coordination, and operational recommendations.
5. Gain familiarity with Systems Administration concepts, practices, and methodologies.

Duties:
6. With guidance, perform standard Systems Administration duties, including:Creating, updating, and publishing network diagrams and configurations.Performing daily administrative tasks such as device configuration and troubleshooting.Responding to issues and client requests.Evaluating client hardware requests for compliance, conformity, applicability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.Researching and analyzing systems issues.Assisting in the development, implementation, and documentation of project tasks.
7. Document assigned activities and progress.
8. Learn and apply company and industry standard systems administration policies and guidelines.
9. Assist with special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
10. BA/BS degree and 1-2 years of relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
11. Languages: French AND English essential, Dutch advantageous
