Job Description
As Legal Counsel, you will support the legal needs of the group and its subsidiaries, with a particular focus on energy infrastructure and retail activities. You will provide legal guidance on regulatory matters, commercial contracts, and project development, and contribute to strategic initiatives in renewable energy.
Key Responsibilities
* Translate energy regulations into actionable advice and draft, review, and negotiate commercial and energy-related contracts.
* Support operational teams in the development, financing, and operation of renewable energy projects, including land tenure, collaboration agreements, permitting, and regulatory compliance.
* Assess legal feasibility and ensure compliance for energy production and commercialization projects.
* Assist with appeals and disputes related to administrative authorizations.
* Provide legal support for projects involving wind farms and charging infrastructure.
* Coordinate with notaries and external law firms, manage legal documentation, and support internal governance processes.
* Monitor regulatory developments and ensure compliance across operations.
* Contribute to legal audits, contract management, and dispute resolution.
The Successful Applicant
* Belgian Master's degree in Law.
* 4-7 years of relevant experience in urban planning, environmental, energy, or commercial law, ideally gained in a law firm or in-house legal team.
* Fluent in Dutch or French, with working proficiency in the other national language and English.
* Strong analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
* Proactive, hands-on and solution-oriented mindset.
