As an Senior Accountant, you will take ownership of our financial operations from A to Z under Belgian law - ensuring accuracy, compliance, and reliability in everything we do.
Your Mission
How you'll make an impact:
* Manage all accounting processes from A to Z, in line with Belgian GAAP and tax legislation
* Oversee monthly, quarterly, and yearly closings, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
* Prepare statutory financial statements and coordinate with auditors
* Handle VAT, corporate tax, and other local compliance requirements
* Monitor cash flow, payroll accounting, and expense control
* Collaborate with management and the supply chain team to provide financial insights that drive strategic decisions
* Continuously optimize accounting processes for efficiency and scalability
What makes you a great fit:
* 7+ years of professional experience in accounting under Belgian law
* Solid expertise in A to Z accounting, yearly closing, reconciliation and statutory reporting
* Strong knowledge of Belgian GAAP, VAT, and corporate tax compliance
* Experience working with auditors and external advisors
* Proficiency in accounting tools and ERP systems (experience with NetSuite is a plus)
* Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication skills in English, Dutch and/or French
* Hands-on, structured, and proactive - ready to take ownership and bring clarity to the numbers
