1. You have a master's degree in law.
2. You have achieved very good academic results.
3. You have good verbal and written communication skills.
4. You are collegial, able to work well in a team and also capable of working independently and systematically.
5. You will write a doctoral thesis in private or economic law under the supervision of Professor Bernard Tilleman.
6. You will work as part of a team to, for a limited amount of time per week, supervise teaching and tutorials, particularly for the Legal Methodology course at KULAK.
7. You will be part of the Centre for Legal Methodology.
The first two years of the Bachelor's programme in Law are taught at KU Leuven Campus Kulak Kortrijk. The Faculty of Law and Criminological Sciences at the Kulak campus has a team of six professors and around twenty full-time and part-time staff. Research is conducted in various areas of law, with an emphasis on private law, economic law and sustainability.
8. You will be appointed as a doctoral fellow, with a planned start date of 1 September 2026.
9. The appointment period is one year, renewable up to a total of four years.
