Sr Reliability Engineer
Due to internal role changes, one of the current reliability engineers will transition to a new position. To maintain continuity, we are seeking an external Reliability Engineer on a temporary, part‑time basis (0.5 to 0.8 FTE – negotiable). The assignment will start in early 2026 and is expected to last 6–12 months, until an internal candidate is selected.
Primary Tasks and Responsibilities
* Investigate machine failures (Root Cause Analysis) and develop proposals to reduce downtime.
* Analyse technical issues and propose effective solutions.
* Create and optimise preventive maintenance plans.
* Prepare and execute Reliability‑Centred Maintenance (RCM) exercises for new projects.
* Define spare parts requirements for critical equipment.
* Draft documentation for testing safety‑critical components.
* Potentially take on additional day‑to‑day tasks after onboarding.
Technical Profile Requirements
* Master’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
* 5–7 years of experience in maintenance/reliability engineering, preferably in the process industry.
* Strong technical knowledge in electromechanics (hydraulics, pneumatics, electricity).
* Familiarity with maintenance techniques and basic knowledge of materials.
* Proficient in SAP‑PM and maintenance workflows (e.g., work order management).
Non‑Technical Profile Requirements
* Analytical, enthusiastic, and results‑driven.
* Strong sense of responsibility and perseverance.
* Team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to work across all organisational levels.
* Flexible and capable of working independently.
Methodology/Certification Requirements
* Experience with RCA and RCM methodologies.
* Knowledge of safety procedures and compliance standards.
Language Proficiencies
* Fluent in Dutch and English.
