Context :
Context Join a major Belgian energy operator and European transmission system operator as part of a landmark offshore grid expansion. The project aims to extend the offshore high-voltage grid to connect new wind farms, delivering safer, greener and more reliable electricity across Belgium and Europe. You will work alongside Contingent Workers and internal teams in a multidisciplinary environment, contributing to a sustainable energy transition and the broader strategic goals of the organization. This role emphasizes innovation, diversity, and collaboration to achieve tangible impact.
Your responsibilities :
* Support the AC Substation Package Manager and contribute to a multidisciplinary engineering team (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation & SCADA, quality, HSE, contracting, PMO).
* Own and/or assist with all low-voltage electrical systems within the AC substations, including:
* LV switchboards, AC & DC UPS systems, Diesel generators, Earthing and bonding, Lightning protection, Lighting, Cable management
* Review and approve technical documentation (design drawings, specifications, manuals) and participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
* Provide engineering support to construction teams and coordinate interfaces between design, fabrication (steel modules), and on-site assembly.
* Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure compliance with standards, cost constraints, and project schedule.
* Monitor deliverables, risks, and change management; maintain clear, consistent reporting to the project team.
Your profile :
* Minimum 6 years of relevant experience on EPC/EPCIC projects; offshore experience is a plus.
* Degree in Electromechanical, Electrical Engineering or an equivalent field.
* Strong knowledge of LV electrical systems, UPS (AC/DC), diesel generators, earthing/bonding, lightning protection, lighting, and cable management.
* Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with engineering standards and safety practices.
* Ability to read, interpret, and review technical documentation and electrical schematics.
* English fluency required; Dutch language skills are a plus.
Additional Information
* Working hours & location: Full-time; 3 days per week on-site in Brussels, 2 days remote possible
* Residency: Belgium preferred
* Travel: Occasional short business trips (FATs, site visits, remote meetings, etc.)
