Role Description
The role is designed for someone who is deeply curious about how companies operate, how their economics work, and what are the patterns that makes some of them thrive. The Intern will be exposed to the full investment process and encouraged to think critically about markets and capital allocation.
Beyond analytical work, we value people who enjoy engaging with the broader investment landscape. The role involves listening, asking good questions, forming independent views, and contributing ideas to internal discussions. Curiosity and judgment matter as much as technical skills.
Upstream operates in a lean, high-ownership environment. Interns are expected to take responsibility for their work, explore opportunities proactively, and learn by doing. We look for individuals who are comfortable navigating ambiguity and who see feedback and mistakes as part of the learning process.
Candidates may come from any academic background. What matters is intellectual rigor, attention to detail, and a consistent pattern of high personal standards. Prior exposure to finance, consulting, or technology is a plus, but not a prerequisite.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in Financial Modeling and deep understanding of Finance principles
* Ability to communicate insights effectively through reports and presentations
* Experience in, or knowledge of, the technology sector is a plus
* Fluency in English; proficiency in Portuguese and/or Spanish is strongly preferred
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
