As a Senior Legal Counsel (Corporate & Investment Banking) your responsibilities are: Provide legal advice and guidance on financial transactions, product structuring, and corporate initiatives. Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents related to credit agreements, guarantees, securities, or derivatives (ISDA, confirmations, structured notes). Ensure compliance with Luxembourg and EU regulatory frameworks. Monitor legal developments in the financial services industry and assess their impact. Collaborate with internal departments to identify and manage legal risks. Support the resolution of disputes and manage external legal counsel when necessary. Develop and maintain internal policies and procedures in line with legal requirements. Provide training and updates to staff on relevant legal and regulatory matters. The Successful Applicant
A successful Senior Legal Counsel (Corporate & Investment Banking) should have: A degree in law, with a specialization in banking or financial services being an asset. Substantial experience in Luxembourg and EU financial markets. Experience in drafting and negotiating legal documents within the financial services industry. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Proficient communication skills in English and French; knowledge of additional languages is a plus (Spanish, German, Portuguese). A proactive and collaborative approach to managing legal challenges.
