Senior Business Development Manager (POS & Payments) M/V/X
At Banqup Group, we are looking for an experienced Senior Business Development Manager with deep expertise in Point of Sale (POS) acquiring, payment processing, and card schemes such as Bancontact, Visa, and Mastercard. In this role, you will be responsible for driving strategic growth by building partnerships and closing deals with large enterprise clients. You'll be the go-to market expert and work with high-potential merchants and partners uncovering opportunities, and building long-term partnerships. You'll work closely with the different Sales teams within our group, Marketing, Product and Customer Success to tailor solutions for our clients and partners and continue growth in our main target markets. Banqup SA is the licensed payment institution within the Banqup Group, responsible for delivering secure and compliant payment services. It plays a key role in enabling embedded financial solutions, supporting customers with reliable transaction processing while adhering to regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
* Develop and execute commercial strategies within POS acquiring and embedded payment solutions to drive sustainable growth.
* Identify, engage, and close deals with large merchants and strategic partners to expand our market presence.
* Build, manage, and expand relationships with key accounts and stakeholders to ensure long-term success and satisfaction.
* Negotiate complex commercial agreements within the payments ecosystem, balancing business needs with industry standards.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with product, risk, compliance, and technology teams to deliver seamless integrated solutions.
* Serve as the payment sales coach for our other sales teams, sharing your deep expertise to elevate collective performance.
* Represent the company in high-level interactions with acquirers, PSPs, and card networks to strengthen our industry standing.
Profile
* Possess 5-10 years of experience in business development within the payments or fintech sectors.
* Demonstrate proven expertise in POS acquiring and payment processing solutions.
* Maintain strong knowledge of card schemes, specifically Bancontact, Visa, and Mastercard.
* Bring an established network within the payments industry to accelerate growth.
* Have extensive experience with enterprise sales and managing long, complex sales cycles.
* Exhibit excellent communication and negotiation skills to influence high-level stakeholders.
* Fluent in English; proficiency in French and Dutch is considered a significant plus.
