About the Role:
We’re looking for a C++ Software Engineer to join a growing team building a high-performance SaaS platform, based near Ghent.
This is a backend-focused role where you’ll work on scalable systems, optimise performance-critical services, and increasingly integrate AI-driven enhancements into the platform.
You’ll play a key role in improving system efficiency by analysing and leveraging machine learning models, helping automate decision-making, optimise workloads, and enhance overall platform intelligence.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Design, develop, and maintain backend services using modern C++
* Build scalable, high-performance APIs and distributed systems
* Optimise system performance, memory usage, and latency across the platform
* Work closely with data/AI teams to integrate machine learning models into production systems
* Deploy and operationalise AI/ML models to improve automation and efficiency
* Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD pipelines, containerisation, and cloud deployments
* Contribute to architectural decisions and long-term technical strategy
Tech Stack:
* Languages: C++ (modern standards), some Python exposure beneficial
* Backend: Microservices architecture, REST/gRPC APIs
* Cloud/DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines
* Data/AI (exposure beneficial): Model integration, inference optimisation, ML frameworks
* Databases: SQL/NoSQL (e.g. PostgreSQL, Redis)
What We’re Looking For
* Strong experience in C++ backend development
* Solid understanding of system design, concurrency, and performance optimisation
* Experience building scalable backend systems or SaaS platforms
* Exposure to AI/ML concepts (model deployment, inference, optimisation) is a strong plus
* Familiarity with cloud environments and containerised deployments
* Problem-solving mindset with a focus on efficiency and scalability
