They are seeking a Head of Global Accounting & Tax to be based in the Liège area.The Head of Global Accounting and Tax leads the worldwide accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, standardized accounting policies, and regulatory compliance across multiple international offices. This position is key in aligning financial operations with corporate strategy, managing international tax and compliance matters, and driving operational efficiency.Job DescriptionFinancial Reporting & ComplianceOversee the company\'s global financial reporting, ensuring adherence to IFRS, GAAP, or other applicable standards.Guarantee timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.Ensure compliance with local tax laws, international financial regulations, and internal corporate policies.Coordinate and manage internal and external audits across all jurisdictions.Tax & Regulatory ComplianceEnsure adherence to international tax regulations, transfer pricing policies, and statutory requirements.Collaborate with tax advisors and legal teams on cross-border transactions and tax planning initiatives.Oversee VAT, corporate tax filings, and other local statutory obligations.Accounting OperationsImplement standardized accounting policies, controls, and processes across all global offices.Ensure precise cash flow management, account reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.Lead financial system implementations and integrations to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Establish and enforce internal controls to protect company assets and minimize financial risks.Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) & ExpansionSupport due diligence and integration efforts for acquisitions or new office expansions.Assess financial risks in new markets and provide guidance for optimal operational structuring.Leadership & Strategic PlanningLead and mentor a global accounting team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.Collaborate with the CFO and executive leadership on financial strategy and planning.Partner with regional finance heads to enhance operational efficiency and drive business growth.Identify opportunities for process automation and digital transformation within accounting functions.The Successful ApplicantMaster\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.Over 10 years of international accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.Demonstrated ability to manage, mentor, and motivate diverse teams in fast-paced, multicultural environments.Extensive expertise in financial reporting under IFRS and local GAAP standards.Proven track record in multinational consolidation, reporting, and financial oversight.Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft D365, with familiarity in process automation and AI-driven financial analytics.Experienced in managing global finance teams across multiple time zones.Involved in mergers, acquisitions, and due diligence processes.Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.Willingness to travel.Fluent in French and English; working knowledge of Dutch and/or German is a plus.What\'s on OfferJoining this global company offers a competitive salary in line with your experience and market standards, complemented by a comprehensive cafeteria plan and the possibility of a company car.You will also benefit from a range of wellness and healthcare programs.The role provides the resources and support to develop your skills and advance your career through internal mobility opportunities.You will thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment with ambitious commercial goals and a strong focus on professional growth and development.
