About The Business
Financial Advisory (FA) practice of Deloitte China provides strategic and financial advisory services to clients throughout all phases of the economic cycle. FA comprises several distinct but related global service lines whose shared principal objective is the creation and enhancement of shareholder and stakeholder value.
Valuation and Modelling guides and advises clients on valuation methodologies and provide valuation advisory services relating to business interests. These include intellectual property, intangible assets, common and preferred stock and other securities, partnership interests, employee stock option plans (ESOPs), private debt instruments, options, warrants, and other derivative products relevant to our clients.
Work you'll do
Lead and manage complex valuation and financial modelling assignments for M&A, financial reporting, tax planning and regulatory compliance, restructuring and strategic planning purpose.
Conduct detailed financial analysis and develop robust models for engagements across various purposes.
Prepare reports, presentations, and other documents for diverse purposes.
Collaborate with cross-functional team (e.g. audit, tax, and consulting) to provide integrated solutions for clients.
Manage client relationships, including addressing client inquiries and ensuring timely delivery of engagements.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities to expand services and win new business.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in valuation and modelling engagements.
Support practice development through training programs, recruitment, and internal initiatives
Mentor and develop junior team members, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to professional standards.
Apply quality assurance, risk management, and confidentiality procedures in all areas of work performed and managed.

We are looking for someone with
To be considered for this position, you must demonstrate skills and experience in the following areas:
Bachelor or above degree holder in in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative Finance, Actuarial Science, Business Administration or other business-related disciplines
Professional accounting qualification such as HKICPA / CICPA / ACCA/ AICPA or valuation related CFA / ASA / CBV or other equivalent overseas qualifications.
Minimum of five years' relevant work experience, including minimum of 2 years of valuation experience related to M&A, financial reporting.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Chinese, including both technical and business report writing and good documentation and presentation skills
Excellent business sense, analytical thinking, consultation and interpersonal skills, with high commitment to delivery excellence
Experience in risk management services in financial service industry or real estate appraisal is a plus
Programming knowledge on Python, MATLAB is a plus.
