Medical Science Liaison (MSL) Rare Diseases – The Medical Science Liaison Rare Diseases within the BeLux team discusses products, studies and results, providing fair balanced, objective, scientific information and education to health care professionals and colleagues as required by scientific and business needs. This role focuses on Belgium and Luxembourg.

Field location: Belgium – Luxembourg. Office location: Diegem / Beerse – In-field roles require limited office presence. Reports to: Medical Therapeutic Area Lead Rare Diseases. Type of contract: Regular Full-Time.
We are seeking a Medical Science Liaison Rare Diseases to work on generalized myasthenia gravis (gMG) and stay up to date with current scientific and treatment landscape trends in the therapeutic area of interest, while organizing educational events.

Responsibilities
* You have an external focus and can discuss scientific content on a peer-to-peer level with leading specialists.
* You collect external insights during interactions and use these insights to inform the Medical Affairs/Core Value Team strategy.
* Demonstrate strategic territory planning and be accountable for the execution of activities described in the MAF tactical plan.
* Act as the scientific and clinical specialist on the J&J product for the treatment of generalized myasthenia gravis (gMG).
* Stay up to date with current scientific and treatment landscape trends and organize educational events.
* Collaborate extensively with the Medical Therapeutic Area Lead Rare Diseases.
Qualifications
* Scientific degree: Medical Doctor, Pharmacist or degree in biomedical/scientific sciences (PhD is an additional asset, but not required).
* Fluent in Dutch, French & English.
* Strong scientific acumen and ability to acquire in-depth knowledge of myasthenia gravis in a short period of time.
* Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills, ability to prioritize and innovative attitude.
* Drive to engage externally with health care professionals and create a meaningful impact through individual interactions.
* Able to work in a team and independently with open, clear and collaborative relationships aligned on common goals.
Nice to Haves
* Previous experience in a pharma company as MSL or in field.
* Experience in set-up and roll-out of medical educational events and projects.
* Proven knowledge of autoimmune diseases and established network with neurologists.
* Understanding of the Belgian health care environment and dynamics.
* Business acumen.
