Overview
Latitude is seeking an experienced financial services compliance professional to join the leadership team of a national credit union client as Vice President of Compliance. The leader of the client’s compliance department will be responsible for managing overall compliance with applicable rules, regulations and statutory requirements, serving as the designated Compliance Officer and subject matter expert in compliance, and ensuring the organization remains current with changes in laws and regulations. The candidate should have prior experience in the compliance group of a highly regulated industry and provide practical, authoritative guidance to business stakeholders. Preference will be given to candidates who live or are willing to relocate to the Tampa Bay or South Carolina areas; highly qualified remote candidates will also be considered.
Responsibilities
* Lead the credit union’s compliance program and act as the designated Compliance Officer, ensuring compliance with applicable rules, regulations and statutory requirements.
* Provide practical, business-focused guidance to stakeholders and stay current on changes in laws and regulations.
* Manage the compliance department and lead efforts to build a culture of compliance across the organization.
Minimum Qualifications
* 7+ years of compliance experience in a highly regulated industry
* Familiarity with consumer lending laws, BSA, AML, OFAC, and related financial services regulations preferred
* Proven ability to manage a team, independently handle complex compliance matters and provide practical, business-focused solutions to stakeholders
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* Outstanding references
Position Details
* Type of role: Permanent
* Schedule: Full-Time
* Location: Tampa Bay or South Carolina (highly qualified remote candidates will also be considered)
Compensation
Salary range: $140,000 to $160,000 annually, with an annual bonus of up to 20%.
Pay is based on multiple factors including work experience, qualifications, credentials, and location.
