What you will be doing
We are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (Sdet) to test a C++ Embedded application for one of our key customers. The job is based in the center of Europe, in the multicultural country of Luxembourg.
You will be part of an existing experienced testing team on an ongoing project.
You will contribute by undertaking your share of the work, analyzing the software, designing test plans, implementing test cases and tracking bugs.
You will work closely with the rest of the test team, the Scrum Master, Project Manager, architect and developers to guarantee successful delivery of the software.
You will be an integral part of a committed team of experienced, friendly, and talented colleagues, who are passionate about software development and support each other perfectly.
You will have the chance to work with innovative technologies and take a leading role in shaping the satellite communications of the future.
What we are looking for
A Testing Mindset: A strong inclination to uncover bugs and improve software quality
Experience: Minimum five years in software engineering, with a focus on testing
Technical Skills:
Software Design Patterns: Solid understanding of software design patterns and their application
Automated Testing: Proficiency in automated testing and scripting. Experience with frameworks like Robot or Cucumber is a plus
Data Networks: Knowledge of TCP/IP and experience with WireShark for troubleshooting is advantageous
Linux: Proficiency in Linux for troubleshooting and log collection. Basic Shell scripting skills are a plus
Databases: Experience with SQL, NoSQL, or TSDB for troubleshooting purposes
Python: Strong experience with Python programming
Web Services: Familiarity with REST, SOAP, and XML
Version Control: Experience with GIT
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to ensuring software quality
Comfortable working in an Agile environment
You are expected to relocate to Luxembourg, as will be working either at the office, at the client location, or from home
