One of our key energy-sector partners is looking for a freelance UX Researcher/Designer to shape the user experience across their websites. You’ll lead in-depth research, run high-impact workshops, and design information architecture and navigation that serve millions - directly contributing to Europe’s energy transition. This is a strategic, user-focused role with tangible operational impact.

* Position: UX Researcher OneCMS
* Duration: 12-months (likelihood of a multi-year scope extension)
* Location: Brussels (hybrid) with occasional travel to Berlin
* Hybrid: 2 days a week on-site
* Day rate: €(Negotiable & Competitive)
* Languages: English (mandatory). German/Dutch/French a plus
* Start: ASAP | Contract: Full-time, long-term freelance
Key Responsibilities
* Lead end-to-end UX research and maintain a structured research repository
* Plan & facilitate workshops with business, IT, and end-users
* Identify user needs and pain points through interviews, surveys, user tests, and analytics (Matomo, heatmaps)
* Create personas, experience maps, user journeys, IA, navigation models, wireframes, and flows
* Collaborate with UI designers and stakeholders to ensure consistency with the design system
* Present concepts and rationale to diverse stakeholders and contribute to UX Chapter activities
Must-Have Skills
* 7+ years applying design thinking in agile projects
* 7+ years with qualitative & quantitative research methods
* 3+ years in interaction design & information architecture
* Strong Figma skills, analytics experience (Matomo/heatmaps)
* Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management
* Formal UX qualification (master’s or certification)
