Technical Office Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Office Engineer to join our team. As a Technical Office Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the success of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and execute work packages to ensure timely completion of projects.
* Ensure that sites are supplied with all necessary documentation, methods, and materials.
* Prepare construction method statements, drawings, job safety analysis, risk assessments, lifting plans, and inspection and test plans for permanent and temporary works.
* FOLLOW up on permanent and temporary works design and coordinate with the site.
* Lead planning activities for your scope of work, interfacing with the Planner and Technical Manager.
* Prepare material take-off, requests for quotation, and purchase requests for subcontracts and materials required for construction activities.
* Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers and assist in preparation of work requisition/contract for subcontracted works and Purchase Orders for material supplies.
* Prepare technical and commercial comparison sheets of offers received from subcontractors and suppliers, and follow up of subcontracted works and material supplies, including payment applications.
* Maintain the technical library updated including best practices and lessons learned.
* Prepare pre-qualifications and material approval requests, submittals and follow-up of the approval process.
* FOLLOW up on deliveries of materials and invoicing of permanent materials.
You will be working closely with our team to deliver complex projects within both local and international environments.
Requirements:
* A Master's degree in Civil Engineering in Construction.
* Between 2 to 5 years of work experience in a construction company, preferably on larger marine and/or civil projects.
* Fluency in English. Any other language is an asset.
* Ability to work and live abroad as an expat outside of Europe (Africa, South America).
* Proven ability to anticipate standard solutions, take initiative, and make suggestions.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently in constantly changing business environments.
* Strong planning, organizing, and prioritizing skills.
* Ability to understand roles in teams and document best practices.
* Responsibility and ownership in reporting spontaneously to managers.
* Logical data summarization and risk management analysis skills.
