OverviewAs a GP Sales Representative you are responsible for reaching sales targets and increasing awareness at GP level of AZ's brand portfolio with a long-term goal of building and maintaining strong relationships with healthcare professionals. To ensure this, you should co-operate tightly with close colleagues, Specialist Sales Representatives, Marketing and Medical. At AstraZeneca we emphasize cross-functional collaboration as well as collaboration with stakeholders across the healthcare landscape. This function is within our Cardiovascular, Renal and Metabolism portfolio and encompasses the region of Waasland – Vlaams-Brabant.
Responsibilities
Deliver on plan and achieve sales goals on budget:
Drive sales performance and ensure sales targets meet or exceed expectations as defined by the Territory Action Plan (TAP) while managing assigned budget
Assess sales performance and market trends within the region and determine appropriate actions to enhance performance in close collaboration with FLSM
Successfully promote the benefits of AZ's products, using balanced messages and the appropriate mix of promotional tools
Ensure AZ's products are optimally used in line with national/local guidelines and the product license
Ensure the administrative management and follow-up of own region
Develop strategy and plans:
Identify opportunities and strategies to meet targets and further improve positioning of AZ's products at a local level
Accountable for the yearly update of Targeting & Segmentation (T&S) exercise of own region
Work with other GP and/or Specialist (SP) Sales Representatives (as appropriate) to coordinate selling efforts and share best practices to enhance sales effectiveness
Create deep stakeholder relationships:
Be able to quickly establish and maintain collaborative relationships with GPs
Provide customer/competitive insights to FLSM and support the elaboration of optimal customer profiles
Build capability and knowledge in the region:
Develop global knowledge on brand, pathology, selling skills and customer to realise sales objectives
Accountable for the creation/ organisation/ implementation/ monitoring and follow-up of impactful X-call activities (speaker-led) with key customer segments in full respect of budget and Pharmacode.
Be Compliant:
Ensure compliance with the AZ Code of Conduct, Global/local External Interactions Policy and Standards and Privacy Policy and Standards.
Education, Qualifications and ExperienceEssential
At least 2 years of sales experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or scientific industry with proven track record
Master's/bachelor's degree in science related fields or commercial background required
Fluent in Dutch, basic knowledge of English
Experience of working within cross-functional teams (Marketing, Medical Affairs)
Being a teamplayer with a strong entrepreneurial mindset
IT Skills (Excel/Word/PowerPoint), iPad proficiency
Valid driver's license
Desirable
First experience in a specialist environment
Experience in cardiovascular or metabolism therapeutic area
Experience on how to reach customers by a digital channel
Experience in project management and building partnership relationships
