Responsibilities as a Head of Atelier:
The Head of Atelier is esponsible for overseeing the production of garments or products, maintaining the brand’s high standards, and leading the atelier team. Here's a breakdown of their main responsibilities:
1. Production Oversight
* Plan, organize, and monitor the daily workflow of the atelier.
* Ensure production deadlines are met.
* Oversee the efficiency and quality of all manufacturing processes.
2. Craftsmanship & Quality Control
* Safeguard the traditional craftsmanship and techniques of the house.
* Ensure exceptional quality in all aspects of production: cutting, construction, finishing, and materials.
* Approve prototypes, samples, and final pieces before delivery or presentation.
3. Team Leadership
* Manage, train, and inspire the atelier team.
* Organize work schedules and assign tasks.
* Foster a respectful and motivating work environment.
4. Cross-functional Collaboration
* Collaborate closely with design teams, product development, merchandising, and suppliers.
* Translate designers’ ideas into technically feasible and high-quality products.
* Attend collection development meetings and provide input from a technical or production perspective.
5. Innovation & Process Improvement
* Suggest technical solutions or improvements to optimize production without compromising quality.
* Incorporate new technologies or artisan techniques as directed by the brand’s innovation strategy.
Requirements for the position of Head of Atelier :
* Degree or diploma in fashion design, pattern making, garment construction, textile arts, or similar fields.
* Fluent in english level C1 minimum.
* Minimum 3–7 years of experience in a high-end or luxury fashion environment.
* Proven experience leading an atelier or managing a team of artisans.
* Expertise in technical development, fitting, pattern corrections, and garment construction.
* Experience working with designers, product developers, and collection planning teams.
* Deep understanding of luxury materials and high-end finishes.
* Knowledge of both manual and digital pattern-making techniques.
* Strong understanding of fabric behavior, draping, and construction logic.
* Experience managing and mentoring multidisciplinary teams.
* Ability to motivate artisans while maintaining high standards of precision.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to oversee quality control and ensure every piece reflects the house’s standards.
